Happy Harry Potter Day!
Jul. 20th, 2007 10:43 amI have our bracelet.
There were about 125-150 people there before me, and it took two people 48 minutes to process the line and get to me. Assuming they run all the cash registers tonight, that's about 8 registers, so it should be pretty quick to get to us. We are in group 6. I went early. When I left the line was the same length as when I arrived, so I'd say they were up to 300-400 people either done or waiting by the time I left at 9:49.
I hope this will turn out to be fun, and not a nightmare. We haven't done a midnight purchase since Charlottesville, when AG33 was 2 - Goblet of Fire. He waited in his stroller. Hopefully, Little Sister will sleep in her car seat, and I can sit in the car and scribble or read while the boys play and get the book.
Husband is gonna read it this weekend, then hand it off to AG33. I expect a shot at it by next weekend. I'm pretty mellow. I'm not looking for spoilers, but I'm not spazzing over the possibilities, either. Husband can be TERRIBLE about keeping secrets, so I figure rather than torment him, I'll let him spill whatever beans he feels the need to spill. AG33, however, is adamant that he does not want to be spoiled. Luckily, he is coming to work with me next week instead of going to camp, so he can bring the book with him and hole up in Boss' office and read undisturbed and un spoiled.
