Stress reduction
Mar. 26th, 2007 09:08 pmJust scored 18 on a stress test where you should not score more than 12.
Jeez. I must have been off the scale this time last month.:s
If you are interested, the test is located here and was recommended by Boss' recent legal ethics workshop as a way of gaging stress level.
And why is there no u in gage? Doesn't it have a u? The spell checker and I had a terrible disagreement just now about that.

Comment Posted Successfully I scored a 17. I have to decided to get serious about taking better care of myself. Too many people getting cancer. I used to be really good about exercise before my ADs started working. Exercise was my only relief back then. Gonna eat more vegies. I already do eat healthy other stuff. Thanks to the O. in june, 2002, I can't stand junk food. And, after having to be thin for a year, my brain finally GOT IT: Being thin ain't gonna solve your life's problems. And, that, I believe, is the major crutch for so many yo-yo dieters. They lose the weight, expect Heaven. It doesn't happen, so they gain it back, because they need the excuse. Ok, I'm digressing. Back to my plan for health and low stress...
Gerizyme for antioxidant therapy: I started Forrest on the Gerizyme--the stuff that turned Buddy into that Gorgeous older boy and the stuff that made Lucy look younger than when I got her--even her x-rays looked like a cat half her age. Forrest is only 4, almost middle-age for a Dobie, but I know in my heart, it's best to start this stuff early, since it is an anti-oxidant therapy.
I started him on it 3/18, and within a week I noticed he wasn't shedding nearly as much hair--not that he had a problem, but I can't stand any Doberman hair around the house. I am really a cat person. His coat is beautiful, now. Much more shiner. The most amazing thing is his temperament is changing. He's so much calmer, and I'm not exercising him nearly enough--but that's been going on for some time. He's not whining in the car anymore. He's happier. I love this stuff.
It's just a super-potent anti-oxidant. I've talked to this one guy at the compan, Nutri-Tech, a couple times. They do make vitamins for people. Once I find out what that potent AO is, and if they put it in the people's vitamin, I'll get it. If they only put it the pet's vitamins, I'll just take those. That's what the vet did who turned me on to this stuff back in '98. He said he couldn't get through his long days without it. And, after seeing three pets have practically miraculous results, I believe him.
I even took Buddy off the stuff, when I couldn't afford it, and he slowed down, but when I put him back on it, he perked right back up. I know this stuff works.
There are some things worth spending the money on. This stuff works fast, and if I have more energy, then I'll feel like working more. Plus, I'll know within a few weeks if it is working. I could always see the changes with the pets with 1-3 weeks.
Could be I'm making resolutions to change because it's my birthday, but that's a good day to make them :).
