muck_a_luckWe had a weird Valentine's Day this year.
I did try to go to work. First, I tried to back across about 8 feet of wedding cake type snow/ice. That was the distance from my space to the plowed part of the driveway. It was about 4 inches deep. I was too lazy to actually shovel a clear path. I thought, oh, no problem.
WRONG!!!!
I managed to get stuck, and it took about an hour to get me dug out again. Maybe not quite that long. *facepalm* But once I got out of the driveway, it wasn't too bad. 'Til I got to the day care and their parking lot was a virgin plain of beautiful snow. I just kept driving. I called Husband to warn him I was on my way back, and he spent the next 10 minutes grooming a path for the car to get back into the space.
So we had a peaceful day at home.
Until Husband accidentally let a huge heavy box slide down the stairs and crash through the wall at the bottom. *facepalm* It smashed through the baseboard, breaking it in three places, and punched a lovely hole in the dry wall. Happily, it just went through the wall on the stairs side, and didn't break through the basement wall on the other side. We sent a chagrined note to the landlord.
On the fun side, Little Sister got food in her hair on Tuesday night, which for some reason we didn't notice til yesterday morning. So it was bath day! And for the first time, I broke out AG33's old bath seat.
Then I washed AG33 first while Little Sister crawled on the floor. Then I plopped her in the seat and washed her while AG33 played. She LOVED the seat, and they both had a great time! Next time, there will be pictures taken. :)
I'm pretty sure there was other stuff to post about yesterday, but I can't think of it now.
Today's drive to the office was a breeze. AG33 and Husband still home, as AG33's school is out again today and Husband had a terrible time getting to the bus this morning and finally decided to stay home.

I don't know if it's because I needed some time off (and the moving days were time off of a sort), or if it's because I've passed some kind of psychological breakpoint where I figure there's now hope so why spaz over it?
