Boring RL update
Mar. 20th, 2004 06:41 pmFriday I got away from work smoothly. When I got home we watched a couple of episodes of Alias, then decided to try out On the Border's take out.
So we just finished up the episode of Alias where it is revealed that the books her father used to buy for her mother contained coded instructions for the assassination of American agents in the '70's. I got the first plot twist immediately - Vaughn's father. I got the second plot twist too - the codes going to Sidney's *mother,* not her father. The Husband says, with some amusement, "Why do you even *watch* these things!" I have, of course, just spent too much time in TV land. But being right has it's fun moments. For instance, when my brother was after me to watch The Sixth Sense. I had never seen any more than they showed on the TV teasers, but I said, "I know what's going to happen. Either the kid's dead, or the guy is!" He was just flabbergasted. "How did you know that?!"
Have been very much enjoying Alias with the Husband. I got him to accidentally spoil Friday, too. He thought I knew about Sidney's mother still being alive. *snortle* Sorry, that wasn't guessable yet... I did predict that the message to Tuscany(?) to order the hit on Sidney was going out on the server they knew was being monitored... Did not predict the Riddick thing where her "loyalty" was finally "proven." Blah, blah, blah... Well, can't win 'em all! :)
On the Border is probably our new weakness. It's nearby, it's easy, we all like it, and the take out was remarkably good.
Today has been the best Saturday in months. I had some medicinal caffiene on hand to prevent my withdrawl headaches. The boys both slept in. I managed to get some work done while chatting with Uisgich. Then they boys watched Deep Space Nine all morning, so I got some things done around the house after they were both up.
All in all, a lovely 24 hours.
Tomorrow: ROTK? School spring carnival?
