Due to Husband possibly working 30 hours at home this weekend, I may be completely off the 'net. Love to you all, if it's a while before I see you again!

*clings* Nooooooo!!!

I guess you'll be spending quality time with a notebook and pen? Yeah, okay, Husband is working, so you'll be on childcare...

I'll poke you if I post anything.

Did not get to read all of your Sam/Jack thing last night. Will read as soon as I can. (This morning was delayed by watching Evil!Daniel take over the world, followed by hormonal!Daniel trying to throw himself off the building.) What I did get to, I mostly agreed about. Though I think Sam Season 9 and Season 10 is almost a completely different character. She seems tougher, less interested in other people's opinions. Though it must be said that I have not watched all necessary eps. And I stand by my take on 200. I didn't see a dreamy smile. I saw a sparkly-eyed smirk. She was not making googly eyes. She was totally laughing at him!

Also, I am slightly more forgiving of Mobius. I totally agree with your take on the characters and the fact that they scripted it for broad humor instead of being more subtle. But there's some pretty heavy emotional stuff around it, including the death of our SG-1 (post 2010!) and the events in Threads. I can accept that the show is a show and the writers sometimes due stuff that doesn't totally fit with my view of the "real" Stargate universe. We can read and enjoy silly fanfic, after all.

Yup. It'll be me and the notebook. May print the draft I have, too, before I leave the office today. It needs to have a big edit done to unify the mood. The pieces as they are all strike me as pretty good, but they don't hang together at all. Or maybe they do. I need to read it. Hope to be able to punt it to you sometime next week for a beta, giving me a couple of weeks for a final edit prior to posting. Are you cool with that? I could hit up somebody else for a beta, maybe [livejournal.com profile] princessofg, if that won't work for you.

Hey! Where do you go for screen caps? Have you seen startinggate's Daniel icon "Squint"? I want to go hunt for the cap(s). DO you think that was from the one this season where they went to Atlantis?

Aw, brave you.

You're right about s9-10 Sam. Which just bolsters for me that she's better off without Jack. I really like her confident interactions with Cam, a peer, versus her stutter-step of hesitation around her hero-worship/crush, Jack.

I love Moebius for the story idea and the OMG angst. Most Moebius fics deal with the ep on that level, and they're among my favorite of all fanfics. It seems kind of weird that the writers would graft such shenanigans onto such a heavy episode. (And the shenanigans were just so stomach-roilingly wrong.)

Yay for writing! Maybe sleep on your draft tonight and look at it fresh tomorrow. I'd be happy to beta.

Amazingly enough, it's called http://www.stargatecaps.com. ;-)

I think it is from The Pegasus Project. Though I think there is one other coffee-deprived Daniel moment on the show, I just don't remember when. :-(

Haha! Look at me! I have finally memorized the tag! (I'm so lame. Have always just copied and pasted it from other posts.)

Haha! Now laughing at the ineptitude of posting like that. < img > was the tag. I have learned to type title without copying and pasting from somewhere else. :D

Huh. It works like that? I always use < img src = "" > because I am old-school HTML-code-by-hand that way. It took me forever to realize that I didn't need to do < a href = "http:www.stargatecaps.com" > http:www.stargatecaps.com < /a > for URLs because LJ made them links automatically. *is such a dinosaur*

I'm pretty sure to get an image to post you have to use the < img > tag. Though now I see I screwed somethign ELSE up in that last reply. So rather than try to show you how smart I am, when I am obviously mentally deficient, let's just say that I have memorized the img scr bladiblah that is like the a href bladiblah. :D

Annnnd...

The horse is dead!
