Learn Goa'uld for just pennies a day
Oct. 2nd, 2006 10:17 pmSo.
seleneheart says she has a goa'uld language kink.
Well, I have a book, Beyond the Gate, that includes goa'uld lessons with every episode summary.
Lesson one. Very basic. If you would all please listen attentively as Jack and Daniel are doing.
So today's lesson:
Chaapa'ai
Cha'hari!
Kree!
And for
seleneheart's special benefit, when attending your classes in goa'uld lexicon, please be sure to wear your favorite kilt.
That is all!
:)

- The Goa'uld language is diverse and there are many dialects. The order "Kree!" is the goa'uld equivalent of "Achtung," though this meaning seems to change from episode to episode. (In "Point of View," Jack asks the question that everyone's been dying to know. "What the hell does 'Kree!' mean?" Daniel replies that it actually has several meanings, including "attention," "listen up," "concentrate," and perhaps even "yoo hoo.") "Chaapa'ai is used on Abydos and Chulak to name the Stargate. "Cha'hari" is Abydonian for "don't shoot."
