Am I just prolonging everyone's agony by not giving in and letting her have a pacifier? I think she just wants something to suck on so she can fall asleep, poor little thing.

I generally stick a pinkie finger in their wee ickle mouths, but that means staying in arm's reach. I don't think a pacifier's a bad thing.

A pacifier's not a bad thing. And I firmly believe better than thumbsucking. But her brother kept his pacifiers for three years! I'd love to find a way to keep her from getting addicted.

I have been resorting to some offers of fingers, but hoping now that she's nursing maybe we have solved the problem, since she only really seems to need the pacifier to help her fall asleep, and she can knock herself out nursing.
