Mr. Cheney

So, the woman who runs the "exclusive" ranch where Mr. Cheney shot Mr. Whittington claims that none of the shooting party had been drinking before the incident.

Dude. I thought that was the whole point of these events. To get totally wasted and go out with your guns and shoot stuff. But maybe that's just here in Virginia. And the hunting involves horses and foxes. Perhaps that is not the culture of quail shooting.

Apparently in quail shooting, men of a certain age go out stone sober wearing those orange safety vests and STILL shoot very elderly men, who are also wearing very orange safety vests.

Apparently Mr. Cheney received a "citation" for shooting the elderly man. Good to know.

Apparently the local sherrif found out 14 hours later, just like the rest of the public. I don't care enough to do the research, but I wonder if that's the reason for the "citation."

Is it not almost worse that such an accident could happen while NOT intoxicated? As in, no excuse? Good lord. I wonder if Mr. Cheney has been through the beloved NRA's gun safety courses.
