Cranky day
Nov. 26th, 2005 04:16 pmThis has been a very cranky day. Poor Small Boy. Both his parents seem to be hormonal or not feeling well or tired or whatever. He's been hiding out in the lego zone and doing a lot of cute defenisve hugging whenever he comes out.
Gotta say, I do not remember being this moody the last time I was pregnant. Don't know if it's a different reaction to the pregnancy hormones, or if it's just that I'm so damn tired all the time. Tired messes with your mood. Dreading post-partum already. Last time, I became weirdly unable to watch anything violent on TV. That's when I stopped watching X-Files, though that was also when X-Files was really starting to go downhill, so maybe it was only partially a hormonal thing. Stupidpregnancystupid.
Oddly, the delivery of the new washer seemed to either create a break point in the day, or possibly was coincidental with a shift in the mood.
The other washer never completely died. The repair guy said it had a dead transmission. An irrepairable problem, but he said as long as it would actually run, we could continue to use it. So basically, every load could be the last. But it *did* continue to run, making the most frightening, hideous noises, but working.
The new one is running for the first time now. It is incredibly noisy, especially considering there's nothing wrong with it. Well, we only have to put up with it til we move in January. Hopefully the new place will have laundry in a basement, and washer noise will be a thing of the past.
A cry a little inside every time I think about that apartment we decided not to take last January. *weeps*
