I go to the doctor (again)
Sep. 8th, 2005 07:38 pmAnd it was fine. I REALLY liked this doc. Also, I noted that my old OB/GYN, the one from when Small Boy was born, is in the office directly across the hall. However, today's experience was excellent, so I am appeased.
It appears I am not pregnant. Yay. :) I did a terrible job on the peeing in a cup today, though. Nuff said. Actually, prolly too much said. *snert*
I have been ordered to get a mammogram. Not urgently, but soon. Stupid fibrocystic breast disorder.
Also, the behavior of my cycle may indicate that I am not ovulating. Actually, she is not sure, because my cycle, while odd, is not irregular. She says usually if you are not ovulating, you bleed very heavily or not at all, and at widely varying intervals. I have had the same annoying cycle every 30 days like clockwork for a couple of years. Anyway, Doc says that unless I start to bleed heavily (which I don't), or unless we start trying to deliberately conceive and can't, that there is no reason to bother to treat the possible non-ovulation. She says if we want to have a baby, to use the ovulation tests, which she says are very good, and if we can't get preggers after three months, to come to her for help. One thing she did say is "At 34 you don't want to waste too many cycles." Hey! :)
She chastised me for my poor diet, but was thrilled about my exercise and weightloss, so balanced out. She used a freakin' LOT of lubricant for all the lubricant requiring prodding, and contrary to what some people say, you sorta can overkill on that, but better too much than too little, I suppose. :)
And if I didn't win the TMI prize for today, I want a recount!!!!
Oh. But this is such a goody goody GYN office. They put BUTTERFLIES up on the ceiling. While I am not a Mel Gibson fan, I liked the spirit of the office where they put a picture of him on the ceiling... Maybe I should take a bunch of color pics of Vig and Beanie next year.
