Pound Cake

Aunt Suzie’s Cold Oven Pound Cake
Sift four times:
3 c flour
½ t baking powder
pinch salt.
Set aside.
Cream:
1 stick butter
½ c shortening
3 c sugar
1 t vanilla
Add:
5 eggs, one at a time
Add flour in parts, alternating with one cup milk, beginning and ending with flour.
Pour into prepared bundt or angel food cake pan.
Place in cold oven. Turn oven to 350. Bake for about 1.5 hours, til cake tests done. Cool on rack.
Yummy all the time. Best served buttered and toasted.
