I am so ashamed
Aug. 14th, 2005 05:16 pmI think the heat got to me today.
Possibly Small Boy, too.
He barfed at Walmart. Will include no more graphic details than that.
I brought him home, then went back out to do grocery shopping, but by the time I got to the store, I wasn't feeling so hot, either. I bravely did the shopping, came home feeling absolutely nasty, but after a tiny small nap in the cool house, felt much better.
It is currently 93 and 50% humidity. That is a heat index of 101. When I was actually out earlier, it was 96, according to my car's sensors. *snicker*
That's freakin' pathetic. I should be able to take that kind of abuse.
I blame the fact that I was in and out of the car several times. And in and out of the airconditioning, too. Probably screwed up my body's ability to cope with the heat.
Small Boy has the excuse of being small. Poor Small Boy. He's feeling great now. Just had a pepperoni sandwich with an apple and some Dove chocolate. He's been eating steadily since he got home with no ill effect.
By the way, Small Boy says, "Pants!"
Then he says, "Pantsy, pantsy, pantsy," and collapsed into a big heap of giggles.
Hush, you, other people are listening. *glares at Small Boy*
Also, yesterday was Code Red, and today's not looking much better, though I don't know the official "code." That's a pollution and air quality index. When we went outside yesterday, it was absolutely stifling, and the air was visible. Like a light fog. Very upsetting. Not quite that bad today, but I wonder if maybe I have an air quality excuse, too.
Anyway, it sucked.
Of course, I suppose it *could* have been a mild stomach virus of some kind. *shrugs*

Date: 2005-08-14 09:46 pm (UTC)Whatever caused it, I think it was complete and utter pants. Pantsy, pantsy pantsy.
This weekend needs to take a time out, go think about how it's been behaving, and then come back and give a lotta folk a sincere apology. *nod*
