If you are word processing...

And you just can't make the document work...

Page numbers are screwed up. Weird paragraph indents. Weird margins. Whatever...

Turn on your paragraph marks.

Works like a charm. You can see the problem and fix it.

People think I'm some kind of computer genius. Nope. I just have my paragraph marks on all the time.

So that's my tip for the day. Turn 'em on. Leave 'em on. Once you get used to it, you'll be *so* much happier.

Actually, I friggin HATE the things and turn them off whenever possible. If formatting is futzed cause some idjit screwed up the document, I will look at 'normal view' over 'print layout', the latter of which is preferred view, and will turn on the evil symbols, but otherwise, I like my document clean.

I have to be difficult, ya know. ;) I also clear all the ugly tab markers when they futz up everything and serve absolutely NO purpose whatsoever in the document. We're talking dozens of the damned things. *sighs*

And new SmallBoy icon verra cute and yes, definitely with a devilish glint. ;) Must take after mummy.

And yes! I always clear tabs, too. Hate that! Happens particularly when you convert WordPerfect docs. Grrrrr....

I leave that option on alla time, too. Cause I get docs from various idiots sources and everyone does things in the weirdest ways!
