I am sitting at my desk. Winter weight slacks. Socks. Close-toed shoes. Fleece. I did have a blazer on, but had to switch it for the fleece, because I was too cold. My fingers are still cold and my nose is cool and damp.

They guy who looked at the ac in my space yesterday really tried. Then he told me it was the nature of the beast and nothing could be done.

But I am SO COLD!

So, I went downstairs to complain in person to building management.

And some woman, I believe the actual building manager (I usually deal with theri receptionist type), said, with a smirk, Oh! Well! They say it's 75 degrees up there! That's normal!

Now. That may be. But don't say it with that smug little smile on your face. I just looked at her blankly and I reached out and gently touched her hand with my deathly cold fingers.

Whereupon she said, "I know you're cold!"

You know, it's one thing to accept reality. Maybe I work in a stupid building with poor environmental controls. But don't grin and laugh and tell me it's normal and good while I'm standing there with snot running out of my nose.
