A day in the life of a paralegal

Today we:

1. Realized that somebody had to be served tomorrow in order for a visitation hearing to occur next Friday. Resolved.

2. Learned from a client that we had to file her divorce no later than tomorrow because of husband's behavior. All documents drafted and filed.

3. Finalized and filed another divorce.

4. *counts on fingers* One, two, Three motions for hearing filed, with service and client copies out.

5. Rule 26 Discovery Plan out to opposing counsel who will sign tomorrow AM, whereupon I will coordinate messener to get said document to Court.

6. Amendment to Articles of Incorporation out to client for signature with appropriate mailer to send to State Corporation Commission.

7. Two will drafts finalized and out per Boss' instructions.

8. All the filing done.

9. Phone calls, phone calls, phone calls...

10. Miscellaneous other stuff to fill in the cracks, including a big pile of copying for a client who was waiting.

*reads back*

Wow, reading it over, it doesn't seem like that much.

Trust me. Record day for the office, since I've been there.

Could not have pulled it off without the help of whatslovetoyou.

Amusingly, last night I believe we had a combined 6.5 hours of sleep! Go us!

And now, off to bed.

Go get some well deserved sleep, tootsie pie. I'm off there myself now. Maybe have some gmail fun tomorrow, or even AIM if Dave the Tekkie's promise today means anything. ;)

yay for two sleepy heads together as one! haha as u can tell, i'm still tired. time for bed.

it was definitely a crazy day. but it was fun, in a way... haha have a good weekend, etc...
