Wow, that felt good!
Feb. 17th, 2004 11:27 pmI just did a real work out for the first time in about three years, and it felt great!
Broke out my old favorite workout tape, Arms and Abs of Steel 2000. Starts with two minute intervals on step alternating with 1 minute arm strength training exercies. I was amazed at how much of the step routine I remembered. I couldn't do all the fancy steps anymore and am too out of shape to get in all the arms, but I did get through all the intervals. It'll only talk a couple of nights to get it all back under control. More of a coordination thing than anything else.
And the abs, which I was dreading, were really not bad at all.
Of course, I'll be feeling it tomorrow, but right now I feel loose and relaxed and happy.
And the cat helped with the abs. :) What a good kitty! *snortle*
If I can manage 3 or 4 times a week, I want to alternate Abs with, ahem, Buns of Steel for a while, then add Dad's yoga tape into the mix and maybe my Tai Chi tapes.
Lets see how long the exercise kick lasts...
But for now, am optimistic.
