Since I did a mass friending this morning, I thought I should stick in a quick first post.

I am also muck_a_luck over at LiveJournal. As well as being brainofck on both services. (Quick, somebody tell me how to code and differentiate bettwen lj user and dw user!!! Your Royal Highness, princessofgeeks, I'm looking in your direction!)

I am making DW the primary home of fiction journal becuase I like who the key players are and I like the policies, but until such time as I can get the same kind of eyeball time here as on LJ, I'll be active on both services.

My RL account, the one of this name, is paid through Novemebr on LJ, so until it expires, I won't be transitioning that one to DW. I NEED ICONS for RL, dammit. But I want a personal presence here for my activities as a mod at sun_salutation as well as for commenting on stories, which I have always done in my RL persona and that's the way I like it. Though I suppose that might be confusing for some people who might value my comments more as the writer me than as the mommy me, but hey, I'm so sucky at commenting these days, who cares?!

Also, on LJ I have fairly much separated my RL journal from the writing community. People who friended Brain have been friended back, but I never, ever followed Brain's friend page. zats_clear is much busier in the community of writers and always bringing me back little juicy tidbits of coolness, so I'm trying an experiment and have duplicated Brain's friends list for this journal and plan to follow it and see what I think.

Of course that may lead to a huge defriending massacre this summer, but then again, it could be an opening of wonderful, heretofore unexplored horizons of gorgeous, delightful people (whom I would never massacre)!

So, let the experiment begin! :D

I can try to show you the user name coding. Use < instead of (.

(user name=sidlj site=livejournal.com) gets you sidlj

(user name=sid) gets you sid

ETA: of course my two names are different, it's not that "lj" has to be tacked onto every... you get it. LOL
