Snow in Dixie
Dec. 10th, 2013 08:21 amIt's pouring down snow out there.
This is the snow storm of my Dixieland childhood. Ice first, turning the trees into (deadly) amazing glass sculptures, then snow, coating the ice, turning the grass from clear crystal to frosted.
Hard on power lines, but beautiful to look at.
We've been nearly snow-free for the last two years. When we had the little freezing ick storm on Sunday, complete with huge, fluffy snow-ball-flakes, she was glued to the windows. I'm sure she'll be ecstatic when she wakes up. We've been promised five inches, and this storm looks likely to go the distance.
