Clone Wars
Apr. 28th, 2011 07:05 amI find the treatment of the clankers in Clone Wars very disturbing.
They are self-aware and sentient, and they know that they are cannon fodder. They fear destruction/death.
This clanker dispair at their plight is exploited repeatedly for its "humorous" content.
Three clankers see a Jedi coming. One of them is upset. Another says, "There's three of us and only one of him." The third one says, dejectedly, "It won't matter." They are destroyed off camera and we hear their screams through an intercom.
I don't think it's funny.
