Limitations
Mar. 28th, 2011 02:39 pmInteresting story from NPR this morning about a technique that seems to provide good results in eliminating lower back pain for a lot of people.

For me, a person who basically goes to the doctor if there's something wrong, this was a reminder that you can't always rely on your doctor to have done the common sense thinking for you.
I am totally not suprised that if you teach people to watch out for what things they are doing that are hurting their backs, and show them how to avoid doing those things, then amazingly, they will stop doing the things that hurt their backs and they will feel much better!
The fact that this is not already a standard part of how back pain is treated just hits me in the spot that relys on doctors for my physical health.
My prejudicies, let me show myself them and try to get past them.
