Diet and Exercise, Blah, Blah, please skip
Sep. 8th, 2004 07:32 amDay two of the 5am exercise program. Day three of exercising.
Weirdness. Yesterday, exercising in the morning was so easy, compared to exercising later in the day, as I have always done. Also yesterday, hardly hungry at all after breakfast. My best dieting day yet. I actually had less to eat yesterday than I did any workday last week.
Then, this morning, I *woke up* at 5am and was AWAKE (imagine wide, bright eyes, here, folks). Alert. Not zombified. And much more coordinated for this morning's workout.
This *despite* the fact that last night I didn't get into bed until 11:30.
So, is it psychological, or physiological? It seems awfully quick for the morning exercise routine to have already changed my metabolism and circadian rhythyms. On the other hand, I am a solid week into the calorie reduction, which does seem long enough to have started making changes in my body. And three days into a return to exercise this time, rather than at the true start of an exercise program. *rolls eyes at self* Anyway, whether it's mind over matter or real changes in my system, I woke up alert, I seem to be less hungry, and it's a great feeling knowing that my exercise for the day is already done. :)
