I find it very amusing that my oldest son and all his friends are so much more interested in fantasy than they are science fiction. Fantasy is of course the thing that I love, but it doesn't seem that boys like it as much. I guess that between LOTR and Harry Potter, fantasy is in!

Date: 2004-09-07 01:48 am (UTC)The Small Boy takes his Tolkien and Rowling right alongside his DS9 and Babylon 5. But he's a little young yet to tell which way the wind will blow. With the massive geeks he has for parents and a couple thousand fantasy/scifi paperbacks waiting around on the shelves for him once he's got the reading thing under control, I'm sure he'll work something out.
