A little sad. But won't have two journals.
Sep. 2nd, 2004 09:22 amI am a born again journalist. I love this medium. I wish every person important in my life had a journal and we could circle around each other in a little spiral of LJ-goodness.
So yesterday, I spammed some very important people in my life with the link to my "dial-up friendly journal."
My friend Jules has an account. I am the account's only friend and she has forgotten the password. So, if you go to Jules' defunct friends' page, you will find all my journal entries. Heh. But note the prominence of my default icon.
I also posted the link directly to my own journal, but the link wasn't hot in the mail.
Anyway, a couple of people I dearly love followed the hot link. They were taken aback by my pretty picture.
*sighs* Not changing the default icon. But sad, because my journal is about 50% RL and 50% fandom, and it is my toy. And I refuse to have two journals - a sanitized RL journal and a fun fandom journal. I straddle the line by locking down anything too upsetting to various friends groups. Though I must say that I would include both of these people in those friends groups, so if they ever got journals, my journal would probably be more upsetting than it already is.
Oh, well. I wasn't making a lot of headway with my mission to get everyone to do the journal thing, anyway. But it makes me sad.

Date: 2004-09-02 08:14 pm (UTC)I have a sanitized rl journal -- and I almost never post in it. RL and sanity and cleanliness are DULL.

Date: 2004-09-03 11:59 am (UTC)See, weirdo that I am, I could do two journals. I'd just duplicate posts to the homosensitive journal. I'm insanely methodical and disciplined when it comes to cr** like that. I *could* make two journals really work.
But as a matter of principle...
