*Grits teeth*
Jul. 21st, 2004 10:58 amAm listening to a much older gentleman talk about why his son is gay.
I try to respect the fact that this is a difficult and troubling thing for people.
Yet I feel an urge to stamp my foot and lecture him.
"[My son] says it's genetic, but I can't help but feel that it's because of the way his mother treated him...She taught him to hate all women."
I don't know this person yet. I fully intend never to allow the conversation to move around onto this subject.
But he just brought it up with someone he'd known all of half an hour and who was just trying to show him how to get coffee and hot water in the kitchen. I'm thinking it is a hard topic to avoid with this guy...
