I saw Harry Potter! With the Small Boy
Jun. 28th, 2004 07:42 pmWe went to Harry Potter this afternoon. I left work way early, picked up Husband from the house, then Small Boy from the day care. We made a mad dash for the theater. I dropped them off and parked the car. Arrived just in the nick of time to see... 97 previews!!
LOL!
Anyway, Small Boy sat on my lap. Husband slumped next to us. Poor Husband. I cajoled him into coming, totally forgetting that he slept ONE HOUR last night. So by the time he went to bed this evening, he had been awake about 36 straight. Everytime I looked over, he looked so serious. I was sure he was hating it. But we came out and he immediately announced that it was the best one and that he really liked it. I siad, "I was sure you hated it!" He said, no, he was just completely exhausted.
Small Boy had a blast. Laughed at the spider with roller skates. Giggled at some other important spots. The only thing too scary to watch was the werewolf in the woods. He was perfect the whole time, except for one fairly loud comment he made about the werewolf scene.
I loved it! I love Cuaron's take on Hogwarts. The cast is great. The new characters, excellent. So much better than the first two. I join the Husband in being disappointed that it has done less well than the first two here in the States. Oh, well. It's not like it's done badly, so I suppose we should not worry about the franchise.
A great, fun movie! Everybody should go!
