My new best friend
Jan. 15th, 2014 08:44 pmI named my tablet Major Kusanagi. She's my best friend on my commute. I grabbed an app that lets me pull stories off AO3, so I'm trying to build a little library of things to read. I watched Kick Ass 2 entirely while commuting. Also, I have started experimenting with creating text files that I can then copy and paste to various locations when I'm networked again. All three of today's posts were composed on the bus/train.
It's a weird kind of me time, much more pleasant, of course when I can have a seat the entire way. That will continue to be the case on most of my afternoon commutes, but if I get a full-time offer, the morning trip will shift to the heart of rush hour. I may have to try to plan thi gs I can just listen to, like a full repeat of Welcome to Nightvale. I adore Cabin Pressure, but it may be on the infinite car loop. The Barbarian named HER tablet Douglas Richardson, and hopes to one day have a laptop to name Martin Crieff. OK at Foggy Bottom, so time to shut down. :)
UPDATE: The thought occurred to see if there was a journal client for Android, and there is. Tested it on the 3 posts. Looks like I can compose in the client and save to post later. Very nice.
