Sherlock Series 3
Jan. 15th, 2014 08:09 pmI really enjoyed the new series of Sherlock, despite some criticisms of the script of His Last Vow. I was realizing today that I have not enjoyed a show that much in years. I was psyched for it to come out. I went out of my way to avoid spoilers, and Gatiss did not disappoint with Mary, the wedding episode (which might be my favorite Sherlock yet), or with any of his usual Johnlock teases. There are almost no shows I watch this way anymore - as Events. The closest I get is Supernatural, in that I tend to watch it the same week it comes out. I guess maybe a better example might have been the first season of Justified, which was fun and I liked the characters, but I just don't have the same level of emotional investment. Hmmm. Actually my othet Event media is Welcome to Nightvale. A podcast. And some AO3 WIPs that update weekly. Go, internet! Anyway, if you haven't used Hola to trick BBCOne into letting you watch, then be sure to check your local PBS station this weekend. I can hardly contain myself, wanting to blather on about the clues Gatiss gave us for the next series, not to mention all the cool stuff we just got. I'll just sit over here beside myself and wait patiently. Sort of.
