In celebration of 39 years...

I direct you here, to celebrate another 39-year-old, who is much prettier than I will *ever* be.

And just for funsies, one of my first crushes, who was probably 30-something then, but who will be EEEK, 60 next month!

The question is, do I stop aging this year? Will I remain 309 forever. No. Not 309. 39. Though that's a funny idea.

I am totally on board with celebrating with you at 309, as well! Although we surely will be subvocalizing messages to the interweb connecting the chips in our brains at that point, instead of posting on journals. (We'd better have our flying cars by then!)

I don't know if I will be able to have the head-chip deal. I can't even bring myself to get a Smart Tag for my car to make toll road travel easier...

Oh, I'm sure all the kids will be getting head chips by the time we're in our 270s. We'll grumble about "In my day!" and then give in around 15 years later, when all the bugs have been worked out, the features are amazing, and besides, you pretty much need them to do anything.

Exactly! I mean, just as in your example, it's not necessarily the best thing. Especially given how easy it will be for the aliens to hack us once we're chipped ...

Well, maybe we will be the trendy set who gets the Beta1 chips, that hardly anybody uses and the software availability is limited, but they are almost unhackable - well, not so much unhack-ABLE as just unhackED, because what's the point of writing the viruses to hit only one percent of the head-chip population...

Ah, but that requires being an early adopter. Maybe I'll have to for job, though. By that time, Apple will be a mega-big, evil corporation churning out pap that everyone buys like lemmings. I'll go with whatever the cool, scrappy startup by smart people is. :D
