If your lawyer warns you that a thrid party's presence could invalidate your priviledge, it's not about how much you trust that person. It's about how that person can be subpoenaed and forced to testify, under oath, to whatever you and your lawyer discussed in the meeting, thus revealing critical facts and possibly ruining your case.
It's not trust. It's legal stuff. Listen to your lawyer.
