Counting on one hand
Oct. 31st, 2007 09:39 amYesterday morning, Little Sister was eating an excellent breakfast, so I offered her a few animal crackers to go with it.
Later, she was running around and scampered back over there to demand more. I held up one finger and said, very firmly, "You can have ONE! ONE!" And she held up one finger and made one of her noises that sound like words but aren't, and did her little bendy dance with a sneaky little smile. So I gave her one.
Still later in the morning, I was carrying her and we walked past the bag (which now has a new home out of sight!) and she started making grabby hands at it again.
So I said, "ONE!" again, holding up one finger. She responded by saying "FAH!" and holding up five fingers.
*dies of cute and laughing at the same time*
