Baby News Update
Mar. 25th, 2007 07:40 amMiss Thing is getting dangerously close to walking.
Yesterday, no fewer than four times, I saw her let go of whatever she was using to keep herself steady on her feet and stand a few seconds all on her own.
And while I was loading laundry, she was sitting in the middle of the floor, far from anything she could use to pull herself up, and I turned around to find her balanced on her feet with her hiney a few inches off the floor, ( Cut for Dork_Elf ) Then she bumped down again almost immedately.
She is making more sounds in more and more complicated combinations, as is only to be expected.
She is also wanting a wider range for her crazy crawling. She has learned about AG33's letter magnets on the fridge, and that is her new favorite destination. I put her on the floor to play under my feet while I am at the computer and she *takes off* for the kitchen! The magnets are not baby safe, so I have to take off after her! :D
She and AG33 are playing together now. For real. This play usually consists of him sitting on the floor with her crawling all over him. Last night, she was pummling him with her little fists and a soft toy. He was shrieking with giggles and laughter, because he was watching their shadows on the floor and he thought it looked hilariously violent! They also play with toys in her room from her toybox, usually blocks. AG33 builds some cool block structure, and Little Sister tears it down.
Annnnd... she's off to the kitchen...
