Clients

Clients are important. Clients are vital. Must have clients.

And yet, there is nothing like clients for preventing you from getting any real work done.

In today's twerpy client news...

Client paid us $1000 in retainer. Boss did work. Boss billed for work. Boss took almost all the $1000 R. We sent invoice to client.

Boss did more work. Lots. Case went over to AR basis. Sent client a new invoice in the next billing cycle, showing the remainder of the $1000 getting used up, plus a large balance due.

Client sends check with note, "Previous $1000 paid not shown on invoice."

Well, duh. Because it was on the last invoice, pea brain.

NOW, I have to actually do a bunch of stupid correspondence with this man telling him that he is an idiot.

See. That is not real work. That is make work. Created by dumb, dumb people. *stomps*

UPDATE: OMG! Maybe he's thinking of his $1000 BOUNCED CHECK?! Nah. Couldn't be. Could he? *pulls hair*

Roses

I was an Orange Rose. Sexy yet familiar. Hmmmm.

The rose quiz.

We had lots of roses when I was a kid. Though overall I prefer a deep red rose, but my absolute favorite was our Tropicana bush. It was an orangey peach color, with accents of a purple red around the edges of the petals and in veins through the petals.

And I just went to look for the Tropicana and NONE of the pictures I could find looked like our rose! Am v. annoyed now!
