Should start at the beginning of the day. Though if you ever do this to me, I will cold cock you one. Seriously.

1:30am. Went to sleep.
5:00am. Woke up.

Did step and the easy yoga tape. Used the 10 pound hand weights for the first time. Whoa. Still, challenging but doable. Did not hurt myself. Deltoid lifts v. scary. The deltoid curl things, too. Otherwise, just what I needed, I think, to make the arm routine really worthwhile.

Rememebered the tape *at the last possible moment.* Started it. Called Husband.

Talked to Husband. While talking to husband, prepared Small Boy's breakfast and snacks. Also loaded and started the dishwasher. Went for shower very late, so left TV on for Small Boy and his breakfast out, in case he got up before I was back out. Remembered to run the dehumidifier in the bedroom.

Took out the wet towels and replaced them. Dressed in my "I feel v. slim today" outfit. Started the laundry. Flipped the tape.

Got Small Boy up and out. He hit the couch dressed. More talk to Husband. Checked computer. Figured out the Small Boy's fundraising stuff and got it all organized to go in.

In order to finish the tape, we had to leave at the last possible moment. Was all hyped up and ready to go. Small Boy had on shoes and jacket. Dehumidifier off and air purifier on full blast. In a fit of super-productivitiy, folded laundry while the last three songs finished, grabbed the tapes, and hit the road.

We were only about 3 minutes late! Wow! However, I stopped for Sausage McMuffin, so was sightly delayed getting to work. But all that done and breakfast out and still to work only about 10 minutes late. Pretty darned good.

Now am in insane productive mode. Hoping to keep up the momentum. Angelique Kidjo on the Architeuthis. RUSH items on the desk from boss. Then bookkeeping for the rest of the day so that I can take home envelopes to stuff while I watch Alias tonight. Tomorrow, the fusion tape and abs.

Jeez! So hyper!

In weather news, it is absolutely disgusting out there. We got the hurricane rain overnight. It was 77 and climbing as I came in to the office and I swear the humidity is, like 99.9%. It's like swimming... Icky.

UPDATE: Spoke much too soon about the hurricane rain being done. Been going strong all day. Tornado watch in nearby counties.

Baranduin72 [8:23 PM]: Hee. Looking at camp journal again.
Baranduin72 [8:23 PM]: Just read "The llama escaped."
Baranduin72 [8:23 PM]: I need to do these entries...
almostrussell [8:23 PM]: Gonna post entries from it
Baranduin72 [8:25 PM]: Yup.
Baranduin72 [8:25 PM]: Looking for my World Cup entry.
Baranduin72 [8:25 PM]: I'm pretty sure there was one.
Baranduin72 [8:25 PM]: Though probably v. brief.
Baranduin72 [8:27 PM]: This is so, so scary.
Baranduin72 [8:27 PM]: I don't remember any of this stuff.
almostrussell [8:27 PM]: LOL!!!
Baranduin72 [8:27 PM]: The girls wouldn't get up yesterday morning. Briggette (my co-counselor) was still in town on her day off, so I felt free to make all the ruckus I wanted. First, I tried pulling covers off people. It was COLD, but that didn't work. They just yelled and grabbed them back on.
almostrussell [8:28 PM]: LOL!!
Baranduin72 [8:28 PM]: Then, I told them that I would call Blue Ridge to help me get them out of bed (boy's cabin) They didn't believe me, so when I stepped out to comb my hair I hollered over, "Hey Blue Ridge!" "What?" (Garry and Chris were the counselors. "Sunrise won't get out of bed." "Do you need help?" "That would be great!" They didn't arrive for a while, because they had to get dressed first, which I learned later. The girls, being who they are, started yelling that Blue Ridge were wimps and chicken.
almostrussell [8:30 PM]: *g*
Baranduin72 [8:30 PM]: Garry walked by and threatened to bring up some water from the boathouse. Again, the girls were skeptical. I finally thought they weren't coming after. Then girls with window views started yelling. Pretty soon six Blue Ridge boys were standing int eh middle of the cabin, girls yelling and fussing all around.
After a few minutes, I sent them on their way. They didn't do anything but walk in, but it got everyone up.
Baranduin72 [8:32 PM]: Chris told me it made Blue Ridge's day.
almostrussell [8:32 PM]: Sounds like you had a great time, you should post some more stuff on your journal
Baranduin72 [8:32 PM]: They were volunteering to come over every day.
Baranduin72 [8:32 PM]: Yup.
Baranduin72 [8:32 PM]: Still don't see world cup, though.

I thought of this because of poor [livejournal.com profile] dork_elf trying to avoid ManU scores.

In 1990 I was a camp counselor at a camp called Gwynn Valley.

Lots of international counselors. Brits. Aussies. Kiwis. Africans.

I was 19. And stupid. It was a World Cup year.

Camp was very isolated, with only one TV in the owner's office. Easy to hide from the scores. The owner taped the final and brought the TV down for the guys to watch after the kids had lights out.

I waltzed into the room and said, NEVER intending to actually say the score, "I know the score!"

There are moments in life.

I don't think I have ever been that close to death...
