Husband: a berk is short for berkeley hunt
CK: Which rhymes with?
Husband: I thought you would be able to guess
CK: Oh. Stupid rhyming slang.
Husband: much ruder than I would have thought
Husband: I was reminded b/c there is a special on BBC on the pill and it is called the jack and jill
CK: Hmmm.
CK: So you end up on the jack, then?
Husband: ?
CK: Because they tend to drop the rhyming part, and just use the non-rhyming part.
CK: So you'd end up "on the jack" for "on the pill"
Husband: I don't know
Husband: are you sure you understood the berk thing?
CK: Berk=cunt.
CK: And I assume you call a person that.
CK: Call them a cunt.
CK: Except you call them a berk
Husband: I did not want to say
Husband: they use it all the time on those brit coms
CK: Probably never noticed because it just sounded like a random insult.
