The solution is more yoga!

I have been taking every opportunity today to work on Handstand. Basically, whenever I get up from my desk for any legitimated work related reason - to go to the copier, to get a file, to put postage on a letter - that takes me past my supporting locked door, I take a shot at it.

I am totally psyched, because I got my feet ALL THE WAY UP! They didn't stay up long because I chickened out. But I am so wanting to do this, for real, RIGHT NOW!!!

Also, I did bonk my head on the door. Gently. The very hardest part of my head, too. But I can see the appeal of [personal profile] rydra_wong's Giant Cushion of Reassurance for working this posture at the beginning.

Anyway, the purpose of this post is to comment on how AWESOME this has been for my mood today! I am totally happy, optimistic, and energized. And before I got to work, I felt mostly normal. Not depressed, or anything, but not super-charged, either. So. To sum up.

YOU MUST ALL WORK ON DOING HANDSTANDS AT WORK! :D

I get that kind of rush out of Wheel (and Dwi Pada Viparita Dandasana).

Have fun with the handstands! I like the way a door will boom when you kick up into it. Makes me go, "Oh Yeah! I totally kicked up into this!"
