Prayers and Dreams
This lovely little snippet is going around FaceBook.
Setting aside the morality of praying for someone to die and the damage it does to public discourse (and this is not a totally abstract issue, i.e. Waco, Oklahoma City, those Michigan wackos), and treating this as a joke, I replied to my one friend who posted it:
And I got NO KUDOS back!
I mean, really! If we're all gonna tell jokes, let's laugh together.
*huffs off*
- DEAR LORD, THIS YEAR YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTOR, PATRICK SWAYZIE. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE ACTRESS, FARAH FAWCETT. YOU TOOK MY FAVORITE SINGER, MICHAEL JACKSON. I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW, MY FAVORITE PRESIDENT IS BARACK OBAMA. AMEN.
