I have been worrying about Small Boy all day, but no more calls from SC, so I assume no more scary allergy attacks.
It is awesome that the cousins are getting time together.
Though the adults were v. amused Friday night. Even Smaller Cousin is *almost* three. He was calling Small Boy "Grace." Which, I hope I need not tell you, is *not* Small Boy's name. It's sorta close. But not.
Meanwhile, Small Boy, aged seven, keeps calling Even Smaller Cousin "Logan." This is similar to Even Smaller Cousin's name, but it is not, in fact, his name. Small Boy knows someone named Logan. I think he was tired.
So we started calling them Grace and Logan. Grace and Logan soon stopped calling each other Grace and Logan. :) We are so mean...
This is not even to mention the fact that my brother and I, reunited after a year, suddenly are calling our respective spouses and children by each other's names. I think this upsets Fraternal Unit even more than it upsets me...
Fraternal Unit and family are in for trouble, though. Logan loves Grace. He thinks Grace is the most awesome person he has ever met. And he wants to do everything Grace does. But Grace's favorite words these days are "pants" and "toilet." Also "trash can." Yup. Trouble's a brewin...
In cuteness news, yesterday Logan was getting a story from his Mom, and Grace came in and sat down to listen, and Logan, so tired and ready for his nap, put his head in Grace's lap.
And finally, then I promise to stop, Logan runs downstairs and tells Fraternal Unit, "I knocked down [Grace's] tower." He seemed very upset.
Fraternal Unit asks, "Did you say you're sorry?"
"I'm sorry!"
"Did you say I'm sorry to [Grace]?"
"I'm sorry [Grace]!"
"[Logan], did you say I'm sorry TO [Grace]?"
Even Smaller Cousin dashes off and is heard saying, "I'm sorry!"
*snickers*
